Home Departments Planning and Zoning Abandoned Real Property Registration Abandoned Real Property Registration In 2011, the Town of Loxahatchee Groves enacted an Ordinance to decrease the growing problems of abandoned and neglected properties throughout the Town. Foreclosed properties include any property that the lender/mortgagee has determined to be in default, has issued a notice of default, has recorded a lis pendens, or taken any other legal action to enforce its right to accelerate a debt or foreclosure its interest in the property. All lenders/mortgagees are required to register properties that are currently in foreclosure (vacant/occupied) or that have been deemed abandoned by the town.
