Read for the Record Wellington Takes Part in Virtual Read For The Record Event In celebration of Jumpstart’s Read for the Record , Wellington will take part in the 2026 Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County's Read for the Record Virtual Event on Thursday, February 26, 2026. Wellington’s Council has enlisted the help of community volunteers to record a virtual book reading of See Marcus Grow by Marcus Bridgewater, illustrated by Reggie Brown. Marcus Bridgewater, also known as the social media sensation Garden Marcus, shows kids the lessons he learned in his grandma's garden when he was growing up. From group readings in schools to story hours and community-wide virtual readings, Read for the Record is an opportunity to rally your school, library, or larger community around the importance of high-quality early learning experiences.
