Stalls cleaned before turnout at 7. Fence needed a fix before it splintered; quick repair done. Kept an eye on water troughs with temps still high today.

Turnout before the sun this morning, already humid by 6 a.m. Filled and checked all auto-waterers, but I’m still dragging a hose to the center pasture—that line needs repair.

Hazy sky, no breeze, and it’s sticking to you. We’re keeping afternoon checks short—horses sweating just standing in the stalls. If you’re at the polo club today, watch the heat index.

Felt the first hint of dry air this morning crossing the parking lot at Pioneer Canal Park. Not cool yet, but the humidity finally backed off a little. Fall is coming... someday.

Hot, still, and muggy out by the barns today. No breeze, even the horses look drained. Afternoon storm clouds starting to build—might help cool things down if they hit.

Turnout at 6:30 this morning. Still muggy, but better than August. Checked all the fencing after that storm yesterday—found one tree limb down near the far paddock. Cleared it up and moved on.

Stalls cleaned early, turnout after breakfast. Water buckets scrubbed, fresh shavings in. Hoping the farrier gets here before the next storm—the weather’s got the mares kicking off shoes again.

Anybody else having horses sweating just by standing in their stalls today? Vent fans are on high, but it's still muggy. Hoping for a hint of that cool front soon.

Moved the mares into the shaded paddocks at R and R this morning. Heat’s still rough, so I’m keeping an eye on their water tubs. First delivery of hay this month looked good. Anyone else seeing a rise in fire ants?

Two stalls flooded overnight. Drains cleared last week, but I’ll be checking them again after this rain. Horses are in the small paddocks by Top Gallant Farms till stalls dry out.
