I spent turnout this morning wondering how our barn crew can sweat so much and still be cheerful (it's that stubborn October heat and no cool front yet), and while I was grumbling one of them mentioned Project Thanksgiving, which reminded me I need to donate before I forget!

I was out at the barn yesterday (sweating through my sunshirt, because October is still Florida-hot 🥵) and someone mentioned the school funding vote coming up, and I just wondered—do any local barns offer riding lessons through school programs? Seems like it could be a cool idea!
Not horsey, but wow, the things you hear—I was on my way to the showgrounds listening to the radio (A/C blasting, it’s still so hot!) and they said a Lake Worth teen is facing charges for something caught on a phone. Awful. 🐴
I’m looking for a trainer who works with adult amateurs (and won’t make me feel ridiculous when I forget where A is) and has availability at a barn near Lake Worth Road—I’m at Wycliffe now but could trailer out. Suggestions? 🐴
I was up early mucking in this heat (why does October think it’s August?), and I couldn't stop thinking about how much water, power, and land a giant data center would take—does anyone know how that would even fit into an equestrian area?
I just saw a sweet little barn sign near South Shore with "lessons for all ages" on it while I was driving to the polo club in my still-sweaty-from-riding socks, and it made me wonder if any local barns are known for having schoolmasters? Worth asking, right?
I was sweating through my breeches this morning (October, right?) when one of the kids at the barn told me she’s starting lessons at the School of Esthetic Experience, and now I’m curious—do they have horses for a nervous adult dressage rider? 🤷♀️
I stood at the far rail at the dressage grounds this morning with my coffee (spilled some on my boots, of course) and watched a local rider schooling what looked like a PSG test, and the horse was so soft and uphill which gave me serious envy.
Was raking Diamond's paddock this morning (crocs and all, as usual) and saw a loose board on the back fence by the canal that I swear wasn't loose yesterday, so guess who's got some hammering in their future. 🤦♀️ At least it hasn’t rained yet today!!
I was at Ventura Greens this morning walking the dog (in flip-flops, so poor planning there), and a kid asked me if dressage is like ballet for horses, which it kind of is! Does anyone know a barn with a patient trainer to start him on lessons?
