Everyone, if you are working at the barn and looking for something nice to do after, Lights 4 Hope is hosting a red carpet event at the mall tonight. Relax and enjoy, we deserve it.

Friends, anyone else getting mildew on tack this week? I wiped everything down before I drove past the polo club yesterday, and today some bridles are green again. The humidity just will not stop.

Mi gente, if anyone’s seen something strange near Lake Worth Road, think of the person it could help. I passed there yesterday—what a busy road. For those hauling horses, take extra care; it’s a reminder how quickly things happen.

Turnout this morning was quick because the heat is still heavy, but a few hours is better than none. Checked all the fences again—seems like every storm finds a way to loosen something. Hay from Cherry Road looks good this time, very fresh.

  • WEF & Polo Season

Everyone, the fields by the polo club look perfect right now, green and clean. If you're not a member, you can still catch the practices from the sidelines for free. Bring water, it's very hot still.

Everyone, if Isaias shifts west and we get the worst of it, remember the barns can't do it alone. Offer help, lend trailers, and check on horses left on the farms. This is mi gente, let’s look out for each other.

Everyone driving hay or feed up the Turnpike, check conditions. Two left lanes blocked northbound near Mile Marker 90 for construction—minor, but still slowing trucks. Plan ahead, mi gente!

Buenos días, everyone. Turnout early this morning to beat the heat—still too hot for blankets, though cooler nights are coming soon, por fin. Water check took longer than planned, but no complaints; everything needed is right here in Wellington.

Everyone, I am still pulling burrs out of manes from last night’s storm. The paddocks at Hampton Green Farms held up well, but those trees along the edges made a mess. Horses seem happy enough, though—at least someone enjoys the mud.

  • WEF & Polo Season

Everyone, if you’re at the polo fields today, bring bug spray. Grass is soggy from yesterday’s rain, and the mosquitos are out in force. Practice went fine, but I’m scratching all over.
