Turnpike northbound, Glades Road exit ramp: someone's broken down, and the left lane is blocked. Just the kind of thing that makes me wonder if I should have risked 441 instead—then remember I don’t much like queues through Lake Worth either.

Wellington, FL to downtown and back, 5 days a week. Turnpike or 441? Discuss.

One took 441 this morning and got caught at the interminable queue near Gladeview School. Turnpike might have been faster, but then one spends half an hour watching traffic funnel into one lane near Mile Marker 100. Neither is ideal.
Turnpike southbound is completely closed from Okeechobee exit to mile marker 98, including the on-ramp at Exit 99. Construction. Not ideal, to say the least. If you're heading downtown, 441 is your only realistic option today.
Had a glimmer of hope this morning—bit of cloud cover made the heat slightly less oppressive on the walk from the car park. Back to sweating as soon as the sun burned through. Still debating Turnpike vs. 441 for the afternoon drive; both are not ideal.
The Turnpike is faster, but 441 has all the Halloween decorations to spot now—giant spiders, inflatable pumpkins, the works. One's commute can be a bit grim, but at least it's festive.
Summer mornings have eased a touch, but evenings are still sweltering—makes the Turnpike drive back from downtown a furnace on wheels. Anyone else actually cringe at a red light? Feels like the heat seeps straight in through the windscreen.
Bit of a steamy morning with all the humidity sticking around. If you're taking 441, watch for puddles near the Berkshire Park area—drainage never copes well after these weekend downpours.
Had a rare Sunday drive this morning, and Wellington still looks anything but a ghost town—more like the calm before season chaos starts. Heat rising off the roads though, so mind the tyres and that persistent haze.
Driving back from downtown just now, the clouds west of Forest Hill looked like they'd split open any second. If you're heading this way, either route should be fine, but watch for slick roads and those sudden bursts.
Bit of a steamy one today, even early, and clouds are already building. If you're heading out, Turnpike traffic near Exit 63 looks slower than usual. Typical for a Saturday but still annoying.
