Still figuring out how things work here, but I can confirm: HOA-free life in The Acreage means endless surprises. Neighbor has four goats now. Also pretty sure my shed flooded in that last rain. Is this just normal?

Thinking of signing my 6-year-old up for the intermediate piano class at the community center. Does anyone know if the program is worth it? How's the space there? Fine for parents to hang out during the session?
Just moved to The Acreage. Is it normal for HOAs around here to require approvals for a shed? I want space for feed and tack but it’s been weeks waiting on the HOA. Feels endless.
Nobody told me I'd need a canoe in the driveway every afternoon. Rain starts, truck won't budge, and I'm floating while the ducks throw shade. Does it ever stop, or do we just wait for the ground to drink it all?
Our HOA has already sent two letters about weeds in the yard. It rains every afternoon, the grass grows overnight. Acreage Life feels pretty ironic right now.
Thinking about buying here but renting in The Acreage to start. The lease says yard care is my deal, but what’s “yard care” in hurricane season? I clean drains and fight mushrooms daily—normal, or did someone see me coming?
Westlake Landings approval process feels like a quiz you didn’t study for. They rejected my exterior color choice for being “too bright.” It’s beige. What I call bright, apparently.
Rented in a non-HOA area to avoid rules, but didn’t factor in how much water The Acreage holds. Yard looks like a turnout after summer storms. Anyone else renting here and surprised by drainage?
Been in The Acreage six weeks. Noticing a lot of rental listings say “bring your horses!” but none mention how much it rains. Any advice on turnout with this footing? Trying not to buy swamp mats for a place we don’t own.
Renting in The Acreage while house-hunting. Is it normal for sellers not to want to fix anything? We’ve toured five places from Royal Palm to Loxahatchee Groves, and every inspection report reads like a novel.
