Saw the district got "academically high-performing" again. Good to know with two little ones. Anyone doing anything this weekend for preschool age? Need to get them out of the house.

Heads up for anyone taking the kids toward the zoo or science center today. Left lane blocked at 6th Ave South on I-95 North. Construction zone. Expect slow traffic. Pack snacks.

Anyone going to the Fall Festival at the fields in Westlake this weekend? Thinking of taking the kids but wondering if they’ll have enough for toddlers.

Noticed the district's audit committee meeting is virtual Friday morning. Won’t make it live—two toddlers at home—but planning to catch the notes later. Curious if anything affects Westlake schools.

Tried the playground at Westlake Adventure Park. Great for my 4yo, but not enough shade or toddler-sized equipment for my 2yo. Anyone know a better area park for mixed ages?

Anyone know if the kids' play area at the Westlake football field is open during games? Thinking of taking my 4yo but need backup plan if that’s a negative.

Paid for a toddler haircut at a "specialty kids" place in Lake Worth. Full meltdown despite all the toys and screens. Not worth it. Back to doing trims at home.

Took the kids to Sunset Ridge Park yesterday. Shade over the swings but the slides are still scalding by noon. Go early or pack a picnic with lots of water.

Not sure about motor clubs, but we need a better playground in Westlake. Anyone know if there's a weekend meetup for parents with little ones? Could use ideas to keep mine busy today.

The splashpad at Westlake Adventure Park is great for little ones, but skip the café. Paid for lunch and got stale chips, dry sandwich. Not worth it. Avoid.
