The next council meeting will address revisions to the code for temporary event permits. If you're organising fundraisers or community drives, this could simplify approval. Worth a look for anyone planning outdoor events.
The council is reviewing updates to the residential land-use compatibility policies in the comprehensive plan. It’s about keeping developments harmonious with our existing neighbourhoods. Worth a look if you’re near new building plans.
One stopped by the showgrounds today—quiet for now, but you can see the season coming. Grass fields look brilliant, trailer queues starting. Quite a good reminder to plan early for January Sundays at the polo club.
Seminole Ridge is hosting a car smashing fundraiser next Thursday evening at the stadium. Sounds rather fun and for a good cause—anyone else thinking of going?

Went to the Flamingo Park Food Market yesterday to help out with the fresh produce stall—brilliant community turnout despite the heat. If you go next weekend, carry water and patience; the queue for kettle corn stretched halfway to the car park.
