Hay truck came before dawn. Bales are stacked, but humidity is high so I’ll keep the barn fans running to be safe. Green market opens Saturday—worth checking for treats.

Final turnout pushed back to 6:30 today. Horses are pacing by 6 p.m. but no shade left in the paddocks, and it is still 88. Water tanks full, no hoses left out. Sand feels stable after yesterday’s rain.

West Boynton is outside Wellington's scope, but this reminds me: check barn hurricane plans. Shutters, feed, water storage. Do it now while skies are quiet.

Humidity is high and afternoon heat is sharp right now. Horses at Windjammer Cove can look stressed even before the storms roll through. Slow down turnout at peak heat, and check water levels twice.

Hay delivery to Hampton Green Farms arrived with more stems than usual. Horses seem fine with it so far, but may need to watch weight maintenance. Worth checking your own hay quality as suppliers rotate stock.

Hay delivery from Lake Hardware and Farm Supply came this morning. Bales seem dry and tightly packed, but I'll keep checking and shifting in case any heat up. Barn shutters are still up, as we’re not in the clear yet.

No weather impact from the Greenacres shooting that I can see. Afternoon storms are likely, though, so if you have anything outside that needs securing, now is the time.

Turnout delayed this morning after the wrong-way crash backed up the hay truck on 95. Hay looks fine but appears we’ll need a new delivery schedule this week.

Hay in the shed seems fine after the rains, but worth keeping an eye on until we're sure the moisture is gone. We checked everything for leaks and moved the first layer to pallets. Strongly recommend the same to prep for more weather.

Hay quality has been inconsistent lately. Picked up a couple of bales from Cap Country Mushrooms to try their timothy mix. Seems fresh enough, but I’ll be watching for dust once it’s opened.
