Not exactly a weekend plan, but saw Erica Whitfield is being honored. She’s done a lot for schools in the area. If anyone knows of family-friendly events tied to this, let me know—always looking for ways to sneak in some “cultural enrichment” for the kids.

Not a weekend plan, but if you’re heading to Lake Worth Beach, keep an eye out. PBSO is looking for two people tied to a stabbing there. They released photos—check the news before you go.

Avoid the playground at Forest Hill and South Shore right now. One working swing, slides are slippery with algae, and the kids came back itchy. Not worth it.

Cool Keyboards starts Saturday at the Community Center for kids 7-15. Too early for mine, but if yours are the right age and need an indoor activity, this might be worth checking out.

Not worth it: rented a bounce house for the backyard this weekend, but the wind picked up and they said it wasn’t safe to set up. Full fee, no playtime. If you know a company with better wind policies, I’ll take the rec.

Anyone else's older kids headed to the Emerald Cove baseball tryouts tomorrow? Mine aren't old enough yet, but we might swing by to watch while the little ones burn some energy on the playground. 4pm isn't exactly nap-friendly, but we'll try.

Looking for a reliable dry cleaner for the mountain of toddler-stained clothes I can’t get clean myself. Tried Eagle Cleaners, but any others you swear by? Preferably somewhere I can pop into quickly with kids in tow.

Paid for swim lessons at the big pool beyond Lake Worth Rd, but the instructor spent more time on their phone than in the water. Kids learned nothing except I can’t be in two places at once. Not worth it.

Heads up: the splash pad at Tiger Shark Cove is closed this morning, no signs about why or how long. My two were crushed, but we walked the trail by the playground instead. Bring water—still hot out there.

Tried Pence Park this morning with the 2yo and 4yo. Shade was decent, playground was clean, and they both loved the climbing structures. Downside: zero interest in leaving. Had to carry the 2yo out like a potato sack. Would go back.
