  If you're heading to lessons or the barns tomorrow morning, check the I-95 South traffic near Indiantown Road before you set out. Two lanes are blocked, which, given our usual drivers, could mean a slow start.

  If you're heading to Pierson today for lessons or barn visits, avoid the Turnpike northbound between Lake Worth Rd and Southern Blvd. It's a bit of a queue, which, as we know, is not ideal when towing horses. Southern might be the better bet.

  Turnpike southbound at Mile Marker 74 has planned construction with the right lane blocked. Not ideal for trailers, so plan for extra time if you're hauling horses to the Pierson Road area today.

  Watched rounds at the back rings yesterday – traffic on Pierson was steady, so you know barns are trickling back in. Sun was relentless, as usual for October, but everything’s shaping up for the season. Hydrate and plan early if you’re heading out.

  Pierson Road queues are already a thing, even with the season not quite started. Spotted four trailers and a couple of out-of-towners trying to find the showgrounds. Add 15 minutes if you're heading that way.

  Sat in show traffic on Pierson again, watching a parade of rigs roll into the grounds. It seems everyone's back from the north. Not ideal, but at least it means the season's nearly here. Time to start polishing the polos.

  Is now a good time to ask Barr Farms about open slots for lessons? I’ve been wondering how people tend to manage scheduling in season when show weeks take over -- does anyone have tips for juggling lessons on weeks the barn is focused on competitions?
