Everyone, I saw Curaleaf is opening a dispensary here in Wellington. It made me wonder—has anyone tried growing medicinal plants like aloe or butterfly pea in our sun and sandy soil? What works best for you?

Aloe works here but needs afternoon shade. Tried butterfly pea last spring; soil needed extra compost to hold moisture. Have you tried calendula? Grew well for me by the fence.

Aloe does very well here; it hardly minds the soil and shrugs off the heat if watered occasionally. Butterfly pea can thrive too, but it needs richer soil to really take off. Have you tried any yet?
